Precision you can (almost) see
01 · Designed by light
Every hole in a Laser Brew screen is cut by a focused laser instead of being stamped. IMS says this gives a level of accuracy in hole position and diameter that hasn't been possible before. Each screen has 300 µm laser perforation, held to spec and repeated screen after screen.
Even water, before it ever touches the puck
02 · Water distribution
Your shower screen decides how evenly water lands on the coffee. IMS designed Laser Brew so water moves evenly through the bed and into the cup, for more consistency and control. If you love light roasts as much as we do, that means more clarity in the cup.
Less gunk, easier cleaning
03 · Nanotech coated
Every Laser Brew screen has IMS's Nanotech coating, which helps reduce coffee residue so cleaning is easier. The surface is completely smooth, so coffee oils have fewer places to collect.
The screw, welded in by laser
04 · Integrated screw (E61 & La Marzocco)
On the integrated-screw versions, IMS laser-welds the screw directly into the screen. You get a fully smooth face, easier installation and removal, and extra mechanical precision.
Swap the screen, keep the gasket
05 · E61 workflow
Good news for E61 owners: according to IMS, the Laser Brew E61 screen can be mounted and removed without taking out the group gasket. Small detail, big difference when you upgrade or deep-clean.

FAQ
Regular precision screens are photo-etched or mechanically perforated. Laser Brew holes are cut by a focused laser, which IMS says gives a new level of accuracy in both hole position and diameter, for more uniform water distribution over the puck.
Pick by group head: E61, La Marzocco (also Synesso and Slayer according to IMS), Breville/Sage (and Solis), De'Longhi, Gaggia or Cimbali. Compare the diameter of your current screen with the dimensions listed for each version. If you're unsure, send us your machine model and we'll check.
It's the filtering size of the perforation. The '300' in the IMS code (e.g. E61300LB) refers to 300 micron passage.
On the VS versions for E61 and La Marzocco, the screw is laser-welded directly into the screen. That gives you a completely smooth surface, easier installation and removal, and better mechanical precision.
The Nanotech coating helps reduce coffee residue so cleaning is easier. Backflush and wipe the screen regularly.
Designed by light
IMS has shaped stainless steel for coffee in Italy since 1946, with over 4,000 filter references. Laser Brew is their newest line: precision-cut by laser, built for consistency and clarity, cup after cup.
